World Association for Public Opinion Research
mbc mori is an active participant in WAPOR Latinoamérica, the regional chapter of the World Association for Public Opinion Research. WAPOR, a non-profit organization founded in 1947, aims at promoting the highest professional and ethical standards in the execution and dissemination of public opinion studies. WAPOR Latin America’s objective is to spread these goals in the region and encourage regional cooperation and exchange among researchers and professionals of the public opinion and social research field.
Founded by María Braun, president of mbc mori, WAPOR Latin America has been present in the region since 2007. Its presence is expressed through the realization of regional Conferences, events and workshops on specific topics, and publication, since 2010, of the Revista Latinoamericana de Opinión Púbica (RLOP).

The journal was founded in 2010 by María Braun, who was its Managing Editor until 2018. Eight editions were published during this period, all print versions, in addition to its digital alternative. From edition number 6 onwards the journal was sponsored by Universidad Nacional de Tres de Febrero (UNTREF).
In 2018, Ryan E. Carlin (Georgia State University) and Mariano Torcal (UPF en Barcelona) took on co-editor positions, and from 2020, RLOP is edited by the Instituto de Iberoamérica and Ediciones Universidad de Salamanca. At present two issues are released yearly, in Open Dialnet, Directory of Open Access Journals, ERIH PLUS and MIAR, and is in process of being included in various other data bases.
RLOP is targeted to academics or professionals, studious of Latin American public opinion, and admits and publishes research articles and notes in Spanish, English and Portuguese. All written materials are subject to an anonymous review process carried out by two supervisors.
