This year, the Braun Award was granted to Kenneth Bunker, a professor at the University of San Sebastián, Chile, for his article titled 'Forecasting two-horse races in new democracies: accuracy, precision, and error,' published in Volume 11, Number 1 of RLOP in 2022. The article employs a Bayesian model that accurately predicts the results of the Chilean plebiscite in 2020 and can be applied to similar binary contexts.
